PATIENT NOTICE

For safety reasons we will not be taking requests for repeat medication over the telephone

Requests for repeat medications can be made:

Online - you can ask a receptionist to register you for online services

eConsult - Go to the home screen and click on the eConsult banner to register

Via the NHS App Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. The NHS App is available now on iOS and Android.

Post Box - requests can be posted through our letter box which is located to the right of the main entrance door. Please use the computerised repeat script form where possible to avoid the risk of errors and remember to tick all items required. If you require your prescription to be posted to you please provide a stamped addressed envelope

With effect from 1st May 2020, the practice will no longer accept repeat medication requests directly from local or online pharmacies.

Patients will be required to order their repeat requests themselves, directly with the practice in the following ways:

  • By using the online NHS app or Systmonline services
  • By using eConsult
  • By sending an email to mseicb-cpr.thesurgeryf81205@nhs.net
  • By putting the repeat slip or written instructions directly into the letterbox provided outside the building accessible 24 hours a day

Please note: Antibiotics will not be given over the phone without having seen or spoken to the Doctor.

The prescribing of antibiotics for dental abscesses is not encouraged. GP's are not trained in dental problems and patients will always be advised that it would be in their best interests to seek a dental opinion. Only in exceptional circumstances will we issue a prescription
